Daymsa will sponsor The X International Symposium on Artichoke, Cardoon and their Wild Relatives will be held from 12 to 15 March 2019 in Orihuela, Alicante, Spain under the aegis of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS).
Different properties are attributed to the artichoke, mostly linked to the functioning of the liver and gallbladder, favoring digestion and the elimination of toxins. It is a vegetable rich in vitamin A and C. It is estimated that currently in Spain there are 15,000 hectares cultivated. (Fao.org data).
This symposium aims to promote research and other activities related to technologies, management tools, plant production and storage conditions aimed to increase the widespread consumption of this crop.
This international symposium will bring together researchers, academics, technicians, and other experts from public and private sectors involved in the field of artichoke, cardoon and their wild relatives. The symposium will be comprised of plenary sessions and poster display sessions, offering a high-quality interesting program with renowned keynote speakers, as well as an attractive social program.
