The aim of Daymsa’s nutritional programme for loquats is to obtain balanced trees, which leads to increases in production of the fruits and in their visual and organoleptic qualities.
The tree’s first activity begins with the reserves it has built up in the course of the previous year. In order to minimize the stress caused by transplanting and to stimulate root development and nutrient absorption, it is essential to incorporate biostimulants and soil enhancers.
Prior to flowering it is very important to supply calcium in order to improve the firmness of the fruits. The aminoacids stimulate the tree in stress situations (drought, frost, phytotoxicity, etc.); a biostimulant with cytokinic action promotes cell division improving the size of the loquats.
After the stone has hardened it is important to fertilize the tree with potassium in order to obtain fruits of a good size, colour and sugar content.
