Daymsa’s nutritional programme for chicory aims to obtain orderly growth of the crop, leading to an increase in chicory production and quality.

Incorporating soil activators and improvers right from the outset reduces the stress caused by transplanting the chicory, improving nutrient absorption and root development.
Calcium is a microelement which is essential for this type of crop. Improves tissue firmness with its deficiency causing “tip-burn”, a very common plant disease which takes physical form with the appearance of burns at the edges and tips of the youngest leaves.

In order to stimulate leaf growth and development in situations of stress (water, extreme temperatures, plant diseases, etc.) treatment with aminoacids is required. Finally, applying a potassium-based fertilizer to the leaves helps the chicory to swell.
