Daymsa’s nutritional programme aims to achieve increased production and better quality coconuts, by providing the trees with balanced nutrition.

The coconut tree begins its activity using the reserves it has built up in the course of the previous year. Root development coincides with the growth of the tree, therefore it is essential during this phase to incorporate biostimulants and soil improvers which encourage root development and nutrient absorption.

Supplying boron before flowering improves the setting of the fruit, minimizing vegetative centres. During flowering we recommend using a product which produces phytoalexins with systemic action. These phytoalexins stimulate the plants’ natural defences. Finally, fertilizing with potassium improves the quality and size of the coconut.
