Naturfruit® potassium corrector obtains certification for Organic Agriculture

Naturfruit® potassium corrector obtains certification for Organic Agriculture

Naturfruit® from DAYMSA has just obtained the ECOCERT organic certification, making it a new solution to potassium needs that is more efficient than traditional fertilizers.

Potassium is a main element for crops, necessary throughout their cycle. But it is during the development phase of the reserve tissues, the productive organs, when these needs are greatest. Especially if you want to obtain optimal crops in quantity and quality, the potassium levels in the plant must also be optimal and on many soils, this is difficult to achieve using traditional fertilizers.

DAYMSA offers us Naturfruit®, a potassium deficiency corrector, which has just obtained the certification for Organic Agriculture according to EC Regulation 834/2007 and 889/2008 and the NOP Regulation. ECOCERT SA F 32600. “Naturfruit®, thanks to this prestigious organic certificate, provides organic farming with a new solution to potassium needs, more efficient than traditional fertilizers”, argues Eitán Martín, Marketing Manager of DAYMSA, who points out DAYMSA’s clear commitment to Organic Agriculture, as part of its new strategic line.

Naturfruit®, an unique solution in Organic Agriculture

Naturfruit® is a potassium solution whose organic formulation does not raise the pH of treatment broths unlike other liquid potassium fertilizers. In this way, the compatibility in the mixture with other phytosanitary products and agronutrients is guaranteed, eliminating the risk of loss of efficacy due to alkaline hydrolysis. In addition, it is a product that is easily absorbed by the plant.

“It lacks any type of sulfate, nitrate, chlorate, carbonate or thiosulfate, hence it is presented as an innovative solution for the organic farming sector”, adds Eitán Martín, Marketing Manager of DAYMSA.

Crops and time of application

Naturfruit® It is especially effective in citrus, fruit, olive, ornamental, vineyard, horticultural and strawberries, and can be applied at any time of the cycle as a source of potassium, although it is especially indicated for the stages of the cycle in which the extractions are greater, to from when the reserve organs begin to accumulate sugars.

Benefits on crops

The main benefits that Naturfruit® brings to the crop, we can highlight:

  • Increases the dry matter content of fruits, grains, stems, leaves and tubers
  • Significant increase in weight and production
  • Better consistency, flavor, color and nutritional value in the fruit
  • Avoid uneven ripening and obtain better fruit filling
  • Provides rigidity and consistency to the fruits and leaves, increasing the quality of the harvest.

EnerPlus® in olive groves, higher yield and early harvest

EnerPlus® in olive groves, higher yield and early harvest

The new Daymsa EnerPlus® biofertilizer achieves an increase in extractability of 38% in the Arbequina variety, confirming yield and early harvest after application.

Daymsa presents EnerPlus®, its new biofertilizer that promotes the biological activity of the soil with exclusive microorganisms, Pseudomonas fluorescens GR-322, which enhance beneficial microbial life on the root surface and increase plant activity.

To verify the benefits of the use of EnerPlus® in the cultivation of olive groves, Daymsa has carried out a study with the aim of confirming the influence of applications of this product based on microorganisms on the performance of an Arbequina variety olive farm, superintensive planting (SHD).

The treatment with EnerPlus® contributed to reaching maturation earlier and increasing the level of fat on dry matter to anticipate harvesting.

Study Methodology

The study carried out by Daymsa has been carried out in the south of Portugal, in an olive grove producing farm, near Beja, on the Arbequina variety, characteristic in super-intensive crops due to its early harvest, because of the quality of its fruity oils and due to its their prices, being the first to go on the market.

The trial design was randomized blocks with four replications per thesis. The theses to be compared were plots where no microorganisms were applied versus plots where two applications were made via fertigation of EnerPlus® at a dose of 1kg / ha, the application of EnerPlus® being the only difference between both theses.

The applications were made after the fruit set (July 24, 2020) and at maturity (one month later).

Two months before harvest, weekly fruit samples were taken to determine the influence of the treatment on ripening and fruit quality (from October to November). For each sample, fruits were taken from several trees within the replica until 1 kg was collected.

Proven results

An external laboratory was in charge of analyzing the samples and determining the content of total fat (Graph 1), fat on dry matter (Graph 2) and humidity (Graph 3).

After harvesting, the percentage of oil obtained with respect to the total weight of the fruit was calculated. This parameter (extractability) was compared in both theses (Graph 4). For this, the oil was extracted at a constant temperature in farm’s own facilities

Naturamin® – WSP, 80% free amino acids for a higher crop productivity

Naturamin® – WSP, 80% free amino acids for a higher crop productivity

DAYMSA bets Naturamin® – WSP to stimulate the metabolism of the crop and achieve a higher productivity of the plant, as it has been demonstrated in a trial carried out on apple tres

Every agricultural crop, throughout its life, is subjected to different moments of stress (transplants, frost, high temperatures, water deficiency or excess …), which condition its physiological development by requiring greater energy consumption.

DAYMSA is committed to the use of biostimulants such as Naturamin® – WSP, a formulation designed to increase the global physiological activity of plants, stimulating their growth and protecting them from adverse conditions to achieve the maximum productive potential.

Naturamin® – WSP, unique in the market

Naturamin® – WSP is a formulation of amino acids (80% free amino acids), where its high content of serine and proline, glycine-betaine promoters, main protectors of heat and water stress stand out. “Naturamin® – WSP is a biostimulant, applied by fertigation or foliar, that stimulates the metabolism of the plant, helping it overcome those moments of stress”, describes Eitán Martín, Marketing Manager of DAYMSA, also that it is a Usable in Organic Agriculture according to EC Regulation 834/2007 and 889/2008 and the NOP Regulation and the JAS Regulation (INTERECO. OMRI. ECOCERT SA F – 32600. CAAE Control. CAEX Control).

Its main actions include:

  • Metabolic precursors. Compounds of amine promoters of the formation of enzymes and of the synthesis of fundamental proteins for the culture.
  • Effects on photosynthesis. Glycine, alanine and glutamic acid among others are essential metabolites in the formation of chlorophyll in plant tissue. These substances increase chlorophyll levels, increasing photosynthesis levels and obtaining healthier plants with higher yields.
  • Phytohormonal precursors. Naturamin® – WSP contains auxin precursors, flowering inducers and growth enhancing substances.
  •  Pollination, growth and fruit formation. L- Proline and glutamic acid are essential in the pollination process. Valine, isoleucine and leucine are closely related in the ripening processes of the fruit.
  • Balance of the soil flora. The components of Naturamin® – WSP contain a source of nitrogenous forms that allow the microbial flora of the soil to remain balanced.
  • Protective actions against stress. Serine and proline are osmoprotective agents that protect cell membranes and proteins against denaturation, an adverse effect caused by high concentrations of inorganic ions and high temperatures, saline and water stress.

 Crops and method of application

Naturamin® – WSP is especially suitable for crops such as vegetables, table grapes, bananas, citrus, fruit trees, olive trees, vineyards, potatoes, soybeans, wheat, beans, rapeseed, corn and cotton.

Regarding its application system, it can be foliar and fertigation, with doses that vary according to the system of use and cultivation.

Trials in Manzano: Increased productivity

By stimulating the metabolism of the plant, one of the effects of Naturamin® – WSP is the generation of a greater productive capacity, as has been reflected in a study carried out by DAYMSA in an apple tree crop, in the production area. from Łowicz (Poland).

The objective of this trial was to improve the yield of this crop by means of biostimulant treatments with Naturamin® – WSP via foliar route, with the Najdared’apple variety in M.26 pattern. The results were compared with a control not treated with biostimulants.

5 applications were made, from April to June, of 0.5 kg / ha, the first being during bud break, followed by the beginning of flowering, the beginning of the petals falling, 14 days later, and finally, after 9 days. (see box)

Proven results

The harvest in these study plots (4) was harvested in September, which time the kg/ tree was evaluated in 10 trees from each of the plots tested.

  • The applications of Naturamin® – WSP generated a significant improvement, up to 11%, in the yield of apple fruit compared to those not treated in this trial.
  • The applications of Naturamin® – WSP did not affect the russeting of the apple or the concentration of soluble solids in the fruit.

EnerPlus®: life for the ground, optimized nutrition in raspberry

EnerPlus®: life for the ground, optimized nutrition in raspberry

Daymsa’s new biofertilizer achieves up to 12% increase in raspberry production due to the biological activation of the soil with exclusive microorganisms.

Frequently, nutritional deficiencies in crops are not because of the lack of nutrients, but rather to the fact that these are blocked in the soil and can not be absorbed by the plant. In this sense, the activity of microorganisms on the root surface favors the movement and supply of nutrients from the soil to the root.

EnerPlus® is presented as a new biofertilizer that promotes activity biological soil with exclusive microorganisms, Pseudomonas fluorescens GR-322, which enhance beneficial microbial life on the root surface and increase plant activity.

These microorganisms are formulated together with catalytic agents that allow to enhance their development and stability on the ground.

Contrasting results in raspberry

DAYMSA has carried out agronomic trials to study the yield of the raspberry crop after applying treatments with EnerPlus®.

The tests were carried out in commercial raspberry farms (Maravilla variety) located in the northern region of Portugal. Two applications were made, the first in a pre-flowering state and the second, thirty days after the first application. In both, a dose of 1Kg / ha was used via drip irrigation.

To obtain the data, the harvest was collected from two hectares of a plot treated with EnerPlus® and another two hectares of a plot without EnerPlus® treatment. Afterwards, the productive mean of each plot was calculated in tons / hectare.

Conclusions

The plot treated with EnerPlus® obtained a harvest increase of 12% compared to the control plot without EnerPlus®. This increase in harvest was the result of better nourished and therefore more productive plants in the plot treated with EnerPlus®.

In summary, the results showed how EnerPlus® applications favor a productive harvest, compared to the plot without treatment of microorganisms.

In addition, it should be noted that EnerPlus® is a natural solution suitable for use in Organic Agriculture, according to EC Regulation 834/2007 and 889/2008, CAEE.
